today someone made a snide comment about my stutter and it made me cry. perhaps bizarrely, people have never really been mean to me about it so i never developed thick skin. i wish i didn’t feel like the onus was on me to fix the way i speak, but instead on people to be accepting of the fact that i’m not fluent (except when talking to children, animals, or myself!)

i wish i had a friend over here who like instead of just listening to someone say bad things about me and then coming to tell me about it would just say to that person “hey, look i don’t want to hear it”.
